Can you please explain the compatibility between the different cables?
This is a question I get asked frequently, or a customer assumes all magnetic cables work together and buys several different types.
There are 2 types of charging cables that I sell:
- charge only
- data/charge
The width of the cable determines its capacity – with the cables ranging from a 2.0A rating to 5.0A rating.
- The Nova, Nova Flex and Vega are charge only with a 2.1A rating, and a common round head so the plugs/cables are interchangeable
- The Stella is charge/data with pivoting round head and a rating of 3.0A – my most popular.
- The Andro is charge/data with a fixed rectangular head and rated at 3.0A
- The Lynx is charge data Type C/Type A convertible with rectangular head rated up to 60W which means up to 4.0A x 15V for laptop or tablet charging
- The Super Nova is Type C charge/data fixed round head rated either 60W or 100W which means it can take 19V (laptop) and up to 5.0A as well as charge your phone – designed for use with fast charging and very fast charging PD (Power Distribution) GAN chargers. This is the cable that will be more commonly found going forward as people look to replace laptop cables with 1 cable that can do both phone and laptop and tablet when used with a PD charger. This cable is fast gaining in popularity as it does everything.
- The Orion is Type C charge/data pivoting round head rated either 60W or 100W which means it can take 19V (laptop) and up to 5.0A as well as charge your phone – designed for use with fast charging and very fast charging PD (Power Distribution) GAN chargers. This is the cable that will be more commonly found going forward as people look to replace laptop cables with 1 cable that can do both phone and laptop and tablet when used with a PD charger. This cable will be a best seller.
